The leaders of this program do a pretty good job on explaining how tutoring sessions should work. They also keep us on track with monthly meetings. Through GIVE I have realized I enjoy helping others, and has heightened my communication skills, especially switching from English to Spanish frequently.

This program has helped me to become more comfortable in having conversations with new people. It's also very convenient and not intimidating in the sense that it feels more fun than an obligation to get service hours. The sessions also motivate me to continue learning Spanish because the tutees are very serious about learning (English) a new language.

This program is actually teaching me a lot. I'm learning how to hold a conversation with someone that doesn't know a lot of English. It has also helped me become more patient.
